Is it time to say it out loud?

It can feel very scary to start talking about things that are uncomfortable and traumatic. Below are some examples of some of the things that people have told me. Maybe one or more of them are true for you too?

Examples of things I’ve heard from clients

I can’t believe I just told you…

…I have anxiety and OCD and my son doesn’t even know.

…I was pushed down the stairs and beaten as a child.

…I honestly can’t see a way forward with my life.

…I feel so undervalued at work and I don’t know what to do.

…when my dad died, I wanted to curl up in a ball and hide forever.

…when I think about my future my anxiety goes through the roof.

…ever since my spouse died of an overdose X years ago I have issues with trusting my partners.

…I’m scared I will fail at this.

…I was sexually assaulted as a young adult and I don’t know how coaching will help after all the therapy I have had.

…I was part of a cult religion and when I decided I didn’t believe in God anymore, everyone in my life disowned me.

…I struggle to connect to my parents because of our different cultural upbringings.

…I’ve been having an affair with someone and I can’t stand the guilt.

It can be incredibly scary to open up about the deep, dark things inside but you will always be able to start in a non-judgement, compassionate, empathetic and safe place when working with me.

The first part of the journey is being able to talk about it, the second part of the journey is starting to change what you are ready to change.

As a Trauma Coach my job is to help you process and move forward with what you are ready to more forward with. This is your life you are living so let’s work on what you are ready to work on.

  1. Hello Philip,

This is a great way to connect with people and allow them to see there is someoneout there who is familiar with their pain and willing to help.

I wish you could share these on Instagram as well so that I could spread the message in my story. Maybe, something to consider 😉

I hope all is well with you🙏

    Take care, Maryam

  2. Thank you. I often share videos on Instagram but sharing links to articles on there I think I have to update the bio.

If you haven’t done so already, you can sign up to receive the emails on the website and the videos are embedded in the article.
