Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD) and Anxiety

Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD) can be a resultant coping mechanism following a significant trauma. It is also often accompanied by anxiety too.

A neat trick that I learned from someone with OCD where it honours the need to check things repeatedly but incorporates a new coping mechanism is to take photos of the things you fear are left on so you can refer to the photos without having to do multiple checks of the same things in person. I love this because it is such a simple thing to do that gives back some sense of control to the person with OCD.
